SlideBuddy
Comparison

Piktochart alternative: SlideBuddy

Piktochart is a capable design tool that drafts carousels from a prompt and hands you the files. SlideBuddy writes them and puts them on your accounts. The difference is the last mile, and whether you need it.

  • Design tool vs. publishing system
  • Neither watermarks free output

What Piktochart does well

It's better than SlideBuddy at the thing it's for, and it's cheaper. If you want a design tool, this comparison ends here.

  • No Piktochart logo on downloads, on any tier including free — the same promise SlideBuddy makes, so it isn't a differentiator between these two.
  • A proper editor with premium templates, well beyond SlideBuddy's fixed visual styles.
  • Infographics, reports and presentations, not just social carousels.
  • LinkedIn carousels, which SlideBuddy only reaches on its Agency plan.
  • Pro is $15/month and Business $20, both below SlideBuddy's cheapest paid plan.
  • A free tier you can actually evaluate on: 60 AI credits a month, renewed.

Which one

Honestly, it depends what you're doing

Pick Piktochart if…

  • You want to design each carousel and care how every slide looks.
  • You also make infographics, reports or presentations.
  • LinkedIn matters and you don't want SlideBuddy's top tier to reach it.
  • You post occasionally, so automation would sit unused.
  • A cheaper design tool beats a posting system, because posting isn't your problem.

Pick SlideBuddy if…

  • The uploading has become the annoying part, not the designing.
  • You want Instagram, TikTok and Facebook handled without touching a phone.
  • You'd rather approve a batch than open an editor.
  • You want it posting on the days you don't log in.
  • You're running client brands that need to stay separate.

Questions

Does Piktochart watermark free downloads?
No — their plans state no Piktochart logo on downloads across all tiers, free included. Worth saying plainly because SlideBuddy makes the same promise, and several other tools in this category do stamp free output. Between these two it simply isn't a difference.
Can Piktochart post to Instagram or TikTok for me?
They describe social media publishing, but in practice that reads as export and share rather than scheduled posting to a connected account. If unattended posting is what you're shopping for, check that carefully on their current site — it's the single thing that separates the two products.
Which is better value?
Piktochart is cheaper and does more design. SlideBuddy costs $29 and does one thing Piktochart doesn't: it posts. The honest test is whether you'd otherwise spend ten minutes a day uploading — if not, the cheaper design tool is the better buy.
Can I use both?
Sensibly, yes. Piktochart for the pieces you want to art-direct or for infographics, SlideBuddy for the steady carousel output that has to go out whether or not you have time.

Try it on your own brand
